DUSF'20 x HMUNEA'21
A THREE-DAY YOUTH CONFERENCE
"COVID-19 AND ITS IMPACT ON SDGs' TARGETS"
DUSF’20 x HMUNEA’21 is a three-day youth conference and the fusion of Harithkram’s two flagship events — Delhi University Sustainability Forum and Harithkram Model United Nations Environment Assembly. This fusion will mark the Fourth Edition of the Delhi University Sustainability Forum and the Fifth Edition of Harithkram Model United Nations Environment Assembly.
This year, DUSF under its School Outreach Programme aims to channelise the potential of young school children towards a greener world through the medium of School Students’ Conference (SSC). The participants from the selected schools will get an opportunity to witness the proceedings of a University level Conference and interact with learned experts, which will equip them better for higher education and their role in the society.
The Fifth Edition of HMUNEA will offer young scholars from diverse backgrounds to brainstorm, debate and discuss the onslaught of COVID-19 on SDGs’ targets and make the discourse on the environment richer. It is a splendid opportunity for young voices to ensure a clean, green and fresh environment. In its own modest way, HMUNEA will fulfil the aims and goals set out by the founders of the United Nations in the Preamble of the Charter: “to produce tolerance and live together in peace as good neighbours.”

HARITHKRAM MODEL UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENT ASSEMBLY 2021
26-27
OCTOBER
2021
The first session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) of the United Nations Environment Programme was convened on June 23, 2014, at the UNEP headquarters in Nairobi with more than 1200 participants including Environment Ministers, Government delegates and representatives of major groups and stakeholders. It was indeed a historical event wherein environment was the focal point of discussions in the international community. Taking cue from UNEA, Harithkram started its journey of hosting HMUNEA in 2014 with a shared vision of setting up a path of environmental sustainability. This year, we, at Harithkram, eagerly await the Fifth Edition of the Model United Nation Environment Assembly.

This simulation of the UNEA of the United Nations Environment Programme offers young scholars from varied backgrounds to brainstorm, debate and discuss on pressing environmental concerns and issues and make the discourse on environment richer. It is a splendid opportunity for young voices to ensure a clean, green and fresh environment.

Inspired by the ever-increasing awareness of the environment and with a genuine mission to promote and protect it, HMUNEA'21 will provide a platform to those who always wished to raise their voice for a sustainable future.
