ECO-PLEDGE

WE THE STUDENTS AND STAFF OF SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH COLLEGE PROMISE TO:

• Be walking advocates and examples of living “green”;

• Recognise and realise the need to protect the biodiversity of our mother earth that underpins the very survival of me, my family, and my fellow citizens around the world;

• Promote synergy between conservation and sustainable management of natural resources;

• Encourage environmental education towards benefit sharing and conservation;

• Be the voice for the environment within and outside our college campus;

• Work towards creating a carbon-neutral campus and community; and,

• Be the change we wish to see.

 

We pledge to exercise social distancing from unsustainable lifestyles and environmentally apathetic attitudes, in acknowledgement of the realization that climate change is real, and that NOW is the time to ACT. 

I take this pledge today, on 25th March, 2023, to build a future in which all of us can live in harmony with nature!
